about

This is our second and most likely final EP! We had a lot of fun recording these songs and we hope you have fun listening to them.

These are mostly songs about nothing but sometimes nothing is important. And yes, we did know him when he was Ralph and lived in the valley.

credits

released July 8, 2017

James Putnam: Guitar
Hugh Schmidt: Bass, Wailing
Owen Schmidt: Drums
Cooper Ernst: Guitar (live)

Thank you to Owen Curtin from Colonial Sound for not only being the best engineer and producer ever but for also putting up with our overall ridiculousness in the studio. We are lost in a raging sea of studio jargon and pro tools nonsense and you pull us through.

Thank you to Jason Fletcher, Sylvie Weinstein, Chloe Koval, and Ben Tull for helping us with gang vocals on Pharmacist, and also to everyone else who hangs out in the studio to give us moral support and make sure we don't take ourselves too seriously (Caleb, Sandro, Peter, Maheeb, Jenny, and so many others).

Big thanks to Manan Arora for inspiring the lyrics to track 1 "Dejected"(liner notes included in download explain this)

Thank you to Ned Roos and Nichole Davis for being at WIQH and for all your support.

Thank you to all the bands we've played with (Sarcasm, Nick Owen, Iris Johnson, Boxed Water, Skank Vendor, to name just a few) and thank you to everyone for coming out to our shows, buying/listening to our songs, and for putting up with us for three years.

Satan bless the Concord Music Scene, we love you all.

Track Name: Salad (Dejected)
salad
makes me feel like an herbivore
and wheat biscuits
make me feel dejected

and I've tried to find
what I'm looking for
and I leave
feeling dejected

woo!

thrashing in my sheets
i see a face perfected
its golden eyes make me feel
dejected

and sometimes
i break down
sighing
and sometimes
i feel dejected

woo!
Track Name: Pharmacist
heh NYHC see you in the fucking pit bro

burial funeral pyres death collected
estate tax healthcare bills death affected
patient vultures stare down silently
as pigeons shriek out failed foreign policy

falling
falling down
waiting
wait around
falling
falling down
bleeding
dead

sectioning self off from overcast skies
pigeons shriek out as larvae turn flies
maggots burrow and flesh turns rotten
previous pigeons lost and forgotten
Track Name: Only 90's Kids Will Remember pt.2
hey its a generic 90's grunge ballad!

and though I tried to find
the things that I had lost
swirling down the drain
valued at little cost
and from the hell I've built
for myself and all my friends
you remain as I start tying up loose ends.

and I'm trying to get past you
I failed and remained on through
steadfast but no longer still
I'm hoping for you I will

old easter baskets
plastic grass resisting change
weaving fibers interlocking just the same
misplaced hooks in concrete walls
a crown of thorns
despite your apathy I held you in my arms
